It was a very good read. We've talked about these things on FB, but I wanted to read your actual post, and though we differ greatly in our views these days, I am very moved in of how you've found a voice. As you know, I disagree with your accusation that World Vision is in the wrong, because in their belief in God, they are instructed to love, yes, but they are also instructed to not become "yoked" with people who are willingly sinning, as the LGBT community is doing. It isn't an unloving instruction, it is actually for the protection of those who are doing the best they can to follow God. Protection? From what? From becoming involved in the sin themselves, because it so often happens that when we embrace and follow someone or something we become one with them. Like, when a follower of God begins to follow people who have rejected Him, he/she will be overwhelmed by the "love and one-ness" of those who have walked away, encouraging him/her to eventually reject Him as well. God gives us instruction for our good, and companies and people have the right to follow those instructions without being labeled as biggots or haters. And Jesus, Jesus is not condemning them for following those instructions.

I do my best to follow those instructions, and I am NOT a biggot or hater. And, I have a close friend who is gay, in a relationship with another man for 15 years, and he knows that I do not support his lifestyle, but that I love him as a person and a dear friend. And, he agrees with my opinion that World Help is in the right to follow their faith. Image that!!

I am in total agreement with you Beth, that it was deplorable that all those "christians" withheld money from children who needed it because of this. That is not okay. That is never okay. And I also agree that we are to love all humans, but that love should not be used to ignore and support things that God has instructed us to NOT do. If your child wants to put his hand on a hot stove, will you allow that because he wants to do it and you love him so let him do what he wants? Or is there an instruction that you must enforce to protect him? It's the same with us SINNERS…we must love, but we also must be truth as well. Not beat people over the head I'm better than you truth, as so many many "christians" are these days; but truth in love and compassion and soul care. I love my gay friend, I love my friend who is cheating on her husband, but I don't support their decisions even while I support their life. Ya know?

Jesus was all about love, but he was also all about walking in holiness and obedience to God. And He knows we can't do that…that's why He came. That's why He still holds on to us as we all, everyone one of us, walks in judgment of others with selfishness in our hearts in this world.

From one girl who is always stumbling but has learned to never let go of my faith,
I love you dear Beth. It comes across very clearly in your posts. It made me sick to the stomach.
Where was the compassion for the children? I believe the only reason WV retracted their policy was for the children, but they shouldn't have had to.
