Free eBook for Babylost Parents: Remembering Your Child

Remembering Your Child: free eBook

You may have noticed that about a month ago, I added a new tab to the navigation bar at the top of this website -- Free Stuff!  That tab was born when, upon reading of the needs of the Still Standing Magazine babyloss and infertility community, I created a free eBook to help babylost parents remember their passed on children.

This eBook has been tucked away here for several weeks now, but I wanted to wait to officially announce it until it went live at Still Standing, too.  And that day is today!

So I hope that you will find something helpful in this little freebie if you find yourself in the sad position of being a babylost parent.  It's a hard road to walk, but it's made a little easier if we walk it together.  You have my empathy and my love.

To download your copy, click here or on the image above.  And keep watching the Free Stuff tab!  More freebies will be added in the not-so-distant future.

  1. I wanted to share this by pinning, Beth. It won't let me pin the image... do you know why that isn't working? Is it set that way on your blog?

  3. I'm so glad to have found you via the #secretmessagesociety (and it was lovely to have you in my corner of cyber space today).

I want to give you a standing ovation after reading through your incredible ebook. My eight-day-old son, Josiah, died unexpectedly 10 1/2 years ago and I have done almost every thing on that list. But it took me years to find my way and I could never have compiled this list in the first year after his death.

The depth of insight and wisdom and compassion and grace that is woven into every page of your ebook is astounding, especially for someone so early on in the journey. It may not seem like much to you, but looking from the outside in, it is no small thing.

I realize I don't *know* you, but from one babylost mama to another, I want to wrap my arms around you and look you square in the eyes and say, "You done good here, my friend. Everything is going to be okay."

Hoping this ebook gets into the hands of many hurting mamas and papas who are looking for some gentle guidance on how to make their way through...

    1. Thank you so much, Angie. That means a lot, coming from another babylost mama. I read your story of Josiah yesterday, and it just seems so excruciating, to bring a baby home only to have to let him go. Devastating.

I realize that I'm doing pretty well for having lost my first child 8(ish) months ago...but I think that's because I've had practice. I flailed my way through an eating disorder for 17 years, and even then it was God who freed me from it in the end. If I hadn't had practice in going to therapy and learning to really feel EVERYTHING that I needed to feel and giving myself space and gentleness...I don't think I'd be handling Eve's death anywhere near as well. Just another one of the man insane ways that God brings good out of the muck of our lives, I think. I am so grateful.

Also, it is sustaining to be pregnant again (our 2nd baby is due in October, God willing). If I wasn't, or if he dies, I won't be okay, I think. I will be broken for a long time.

Thanks for your words, Angie! I'm looking forward to getting your posts in my reader! :)

    2. Your story... what a story. Through it all, you have become fluent in the language of grief, recovery, acceptance and authenticity. That's what comes through so clearly in your book.

Thank you for taking the time to share this with me. And I am so thrilled that you have new life growing in that beautiful, nourishing body of yours.

Can't wait to read more and learn more. It's gonna be good...
