Snowy Gratitude Monday

#261... cornbread in the oven
#262... playing mancala with my niece
#263... snow!
#264... joyful visiting at church
#265... more snow!
#266... Cody romping in the snow . . .
#267... . . . then snuggling on the couch with me afterward
#268... the chihuahua's jubilant morning flailing
#269... discovering inspiring new art blogs

On Mondays, I catch you up on the beautiful gifts -- both large and small, hard and comfortable -- that God has been throwing my way.  Read more about my gratitude adventure here, and start your own One Thousand Gifts adventure by clicking on the banner below.

What are you feeling grateful for today?

  1. Beth, Cody is so cute! While you were cuddling with a snowy landscape outside, I just got in from time on the back porch and it was 80 degrees with high humidity. I am betting storms acomin' tonight in the South!

Remember my blog about coloring. Well, i think God wants me to paint something---only I can't see it in my mind. I am a thinker not an artist---not like you are.

Will you pray for that I might get a vision of what to paint? Or do you think I should go for it and see what happens. I know the background is going to blue. :)

The sun is setting on a beautiful day. Be blessed sweet Beth.

We haven't had cornbread in a while... sounds so good! Looks like Cody is having so much fun in the snow! We haven't seen any yet this year. Yay for finding new inspiring art blogs! :)

  4. Dea, I'll DEFINITELY be praying -- that's really exciting! I can't wait to see what God does through your willingness to follow Him into this unknown creative place. Fun!!

I think it's interesting that you say I'm an artist, not a thinker. I would say the opposite! I feel like if I were a "real" artist, I would just paint, not plan and sketch and fuss when things don't come out like I'd hoped.

BUT having said that, most of the time I just start drawing without a clear picture of the end result in my mind. So maybe I both am and am not an artsy thinker? Haha it's interesting to think about...and what a fun adventure!

Thanks for sharing part of your journey with me. I'm honored, and like I said you'll be in my prayers. Keep me posted on the results! :)

  5. Beth I didn't say you weren't a thinker!! LOL I said that is what I am---at least that is what I do a lot---maybe too much!!! Ha! You are a thinker and an artist and I love the combo. But I will not envy---only admire.

Been THINKING about the painting but that is as far as I have gotten! I let you know how it goes when I get brave and get a canvas gesso-ed. :)

Have a beautiful day in the Great White North!
