Self . . . Help?

Titles spied in the Barnes and Noble self-help section:
  • Happiness for Dummies
  • Ten Days to Self Esteem
  • I Can Read You Like a Book
  • How To Save Your Own Life
  • Act Like a Lady, Think Like a Man
  • The Idiot's Guide to Organizing Your Life
Very helpful.

(Don't believe me? See for yourself.)

Happy [mostly wordless] Wednesday!

  1. Oh, that's sort of scary! That reminds me thought that there were years when I'd always visit the self-help section. I haven't done that in ages. Now, I visit the creative sections, cookbooks, fiction and non-fiction. And, of course the cafe!! Thanks for visiting my blog!! :) Silke

  2. Wow. That's quite the selection. I've never like the "___ for dummies / idiots" series. It's just a joke, I guess, but not a good way to view oneself (or anyone really)Thanks for this.

  3. Hm. I don't know how much they actually help....there's more self-help books coming out...and yet the people suffering from mental disorders and stuff aren't exactly abating...I used to browse through the ED section all the time. For some reason, they only re-inforced anorexic behaviors in me!
